Jostens will be on the Jack Britt HS campus this Tuesday, October 20th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. to distribute packets to our Juniors and Seniors in reference to purchasing their cap and gown for graduation or their class ring.  When students or their parents or guardians arrive on campus, we ask that you pull up into the carpool loop and remain in your vehicle until someone brings you a packet. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly masked. We will hand you or place your packet through your front passenger side window.

Once you have your packet, there are three ways to order your items:

  1. Online at Jostens.com by using a debit or credit card or by using Paypal.
  2. Mail-in your physical order with a check or money order to Jostens, at
    P.O. Box 19041, Raleigh, NC 27619.
  3. Place your order by phone by
    calling their office at 910-354-2326.

All orders should be made before the winter break to ensure your order arrives on time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school at 429-2800 or call Jostens.

Left Side - Stack Of Cell Phones Right Side - Skull with Crossed Swords and Text "Parent Link Phone Calls"We have completed our 2nd week of school and hope that everything is working smoothly. If you have any issues or problems please email your teacher or call the school. Students, please remember you need to be present and on time for each of your classes. All of your assignments will be graded and those grades will affect your GPA. We want all of our students to be successful, however, you must do the work!

Progress reports will not be sent home for this grading period; parents should go to the Parent Portal to check on the progress their student is making this grading period.

Beginning on September 1st, our Meal Sites will resume the traditional school meal programs that operate during the school year.  Meals will be available to ENROLLED STUDENTS and provided in accordance with eligibility for free or reduced meal benefits.  If you haven’t already completed your Free and Reduced lunch Form, you can go online at the Cumberland county website and complete the form electronically at lunchapplication.com.

Cumberland County Schools will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

We have had questions concerning the Jack Britt calendar posted on our website. This year’s student handbook was completed last year and the events listed in the handbook on the calendar pages have either been canceled or postponed. There are no events or activities being held on the Jack Britt campus at this time involving the presence of students, parents, or guardians.

Seniors, I am excited to let you know that cap and gown delivery has been approved. Our delivery date will be May 4th from 2-7 pm at our school in the student drop-off line in front of the school. Please see our website and social media for the breakdown of times for each part of the alphabet. If you cannot make it to this pick-up event there will be additional times provided later in May. Please note all social distancing rules will apply during this delivery event.

Josten’s representatives will be on hand to deliver all items ordered before April 6th , 2020. If you have not paid for your items you will need to pay with a money order or in cash with the exact change. To streamline our process, please have that exact change in an envelope with your student’s name on it. If you are unsure if you ordered or of your amount owed, please call 1-800-JOSTENS and verify to avoid duplicate orders. They can also help you with any questions you may have regarding Jostens products.

For any senior who has not ordered his/her Cap and Gown please do so as soon as possible so you have a cap and gown for our graduation event. Details regarding the event will be forthcoming from the district.
You can order your cap and gown online at Jostens.com and enter your school name and your information. You can also call 1-800-JOSTENS and order and pay over the phone although call times will be long due to smaller staff on hand.

Additionally, all seniors will be receiving a yard sign from CCS and those can be picked up during cap and gown distribution

We are excited to get your items to you and look forward to seeing you from a safe distance!

We hope that you and your family are doing well. We will be communicating more with you now that central services will be stepping back from notifications. Here are some important pieces of information:

  • Our office staff will be answering the school phone between 10:00 and 2:00 if you need to contact us.
  • We are not sure when we will return to school. We cannot allow students into the building until Governor Cooper allows us to.
  • Seniors were told before spring break that their grade as of March 13 determined whether they had passed or failed that course this semester. If you were failing on that date, you have until May 22 to bring that grade to a passing grade. However, our expectation is that all students will continue with their online courses and complete assignments.
  • At this time for underclassmen, grading procedures have not been determined.
  • Our central services staff is working on a plan to distribute graduation materials, yearbooks, and any other items students need. They are also making plans to schedule a time for students to return textbooks, JROTC uniforms, athletic uniforms and equipment, and laptops that were checked
    out.
  • Central services will provide information on how and when graduation will be
    held.
  • Students who have not registered for classes for next year should email your
    guidance counselor immediately.
  • As we receive information and updates from our central services staff, we will let
you know immediately. You can also check our Jack Britt website for updates.

Have a super Buccaneer day.
Please stay safe and stay healthy.
