Exam week starts tomorrow December 17th thru Thursday, December 20th with make-up exams on Friday the 21st. Students will take an exam each morning and have a review session each afternoon for the following day’s exam. All students are encouraged to remain in school the entire school day; students will miss valuable lessons and review time if not in class each afternoon. Please try to schedule appointments after exam hours, as we cannot interrupt an exam to call for your student. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Parents and guardians if you are scheduled to proctor this week, you need to report to the school by 7:45 am.
Friday, December 21st is a full day of school. Winter break is from Monday, December 24th through Friday, January 4th. Students return January 7th.

First Semester Exams are scheduled for the week of December 17th thru the 21st. We are still in need of proctors. If you’re interested please contact Mrs. April Norton at 429-2800 to sign-up. All proctors must be approved on the county volunteer list. If you have not submitted your application to volunteer, you still have time; it takes about a week to process! The volunteer website is located on the Cumberland county website at ccs.k12.nc.us.

Juniors, the ACT is quickly approaching. We are offering two free ACT prep courses; one on Tuesday afternoons and the other on Thursday afternoons. Each session will consist of 6 two hour classes. You can sign up for either session tomorrow, December 10th beginning at 8:00 am in the counseling office. The first 50 juniors to sign up for each session will be included. Space is extremely limited and full commitment to the sessions will be expected as this will be a very valuable experience for juniors. Tuesday sessions will begin on January 8th and Thursday sessions will begin on January 10th.

This image is the Harris Teeter and Together in Education logoDid you know that your Harris Teeter VIC card can earn money for Jack Britt? The Together in Education program has donated over twenty million dollars to schools since its inception in 1998, and in the last quarter of 2014 alone awarded nearly $300,000 to area schools.  Harris Teeter will contribute a percentage of all HT brand purchases to the Jack Britt TIE account when your VIC card is linked to our school. There are two easy ways to link your card – either ask your cashier to link your card to Jack Britt High School TIE code #4354 for you, or if registering online, go to Harris Teeter’s Together in Education page, log in to your account, and link your card. We will receive payments quarterly for amounts over $250; any lesser amounts will be rolled over into the next cycle. Thank you for your support! Relink here
