Thursday, February 16: Attention Parents: Your student received information for the 2017-2018 school year today. They should have brought home a course catalog, registration planning document, and a course list. The planning document should be used as a planning tool for you and your child. It is only to help guide your child and their counselor when they meet. Your child will be sitting down with their counselor, on a one on one basis, sometime between February 21, and March 3 On February 22nd, all juniors will complete the pretest portion of the ACT. This will include verifying their address for mailing of their score reports as well as their opportunity to have 4 scores sent to colleges or Universities of their choice for free. Please reference the pink ACT sheet that was sent home with the last report cards for more information. We ask that your child be present on February 22nd, as there will be little time to do a make-up pretest session. Don’t forget Monday, February 20th is a student holiday. Students return Tuesday, February 21st.
Monday, February 20:
Attention Parents: Your child will be sitting down with their counselor, on a one on one basis, between February 21, 2017 and March 3, 2017 to choose their course for the next school year. Once all students have been seen, we will send home a document of the courses your student chose so that you can go over it with your child. The document we send home must be signed by the parent and returned to the school. Our counselors look forward to sitting down with each student on their case load! They also look forward to being an imperative part of your child’s registration process this year! Please email your child’s counselor if you have any further questions. .........................................................................................................................................Published by Elsa McBride on February 17, 2017 |
