Juniors – The ACT is approaching!  What you need to know:

1. JBHS will sign you up for the test that we will take on February 27th.  You will need to set up your log in credentials to receive scores at ACT Registration.  Students also received

information on 2/2 on how to send 4 free ACT scores to colleges.

2. As shown to Juniors at their class meeting, continue practicing for the ACT at the following websites and iOS/Android Apps:

3. Come to the free ACT Prep after school on 2/13 in the auditorium. The session will be from 3:45-6:00pm.

4. Come to school on time ready to test on February 27th! You may bring pencils and ACT-approved calculators to the session.  You may NOT bring cell phones or SmartWatches.

ACT Academy is Coming Soon. Sign up here to be notified when ACT Academy becomes available.

The ACT for juniors will be given on 2/27 and begin promptly at 8:30am. In preparation for this test, juniors will have a class meeting on Friday 2/2 at 10:30am where they will receive testing information, a practice packet and valuable resources to assist in studying.

On Tuesday, 2/13 from 3:45 to about 6:00pm in the auditorium, juniors are invited to attend an ACT prep course, taught by Ms. Gavin, a certified ACT prep instructor, free of charge. Please make arrangements to attend this valuable session.

Students who follow the Traditional Calendar in the Cumberland County Schools will make up the Jan. 17 inclement weather day on Monday, January 22, 2018. This was originally a teacher workday.
January 22 is now a regular school day on the Traditional Calendar.

Due to icy road conditions in parts of the county, the Cumberland County Schools will be closed for students on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Employees should arrive two hours later than their scheduled arrival time and will observe an optional workday. (See Regulation 5050-R below – option C)

Primetime will be closed.

All after-school activities are cancelled.

If needed, it is the responsibility of the principal to notify community agencies and groups of the cancellations.

A district level Parent Link call will be generated to parents and staff. It is not necessary for principals to duplicate a call.

Due to continued hazardous road conditions, the Cumberland County
Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Unless otherwise announced, the Central Services staff, principals and
12-month personnel will observe a normal work schedule.

Morning Prime Time will not be available. Afternoon Prime Time will
observe their normal schedule.

No breakfast will be served.

A district level Parent Link call will be generated to parents and
staff. It is not necessary for principals to duplicate a call.
